Assume there are 2 guitars of the same batch, same color, same price, same weight, same everything. They are the same very reputable dealer.
One has straight flame across the top. It has excellent, resonant tone.
The other has a VERY slight chevron (or reverse? The point, if any, is toward the neck...) effect. Not much at all, but not as straight across as the first one. However, this one's tone is even better than the first. Very full mids, just better sonically. This is an accomplishment because the first one is no slouch.
My issue is the slight chevron effect.
I can't play either and am relying on customer service, whose descriptions and judgements are known to be outstanding.
Which would you get?
