• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

WHO REMEMBERS THE GIBSON CAFE & GALLERY on Broadway in Nashville? With a "Gibsonized" version of the Hard Rock Cafe happening, this was THE place to grab some great food and check out some amazing guitars and Gibson memorabilia!!
Unfortunately it didn't last too long, but I was fortunate to snap some shots while I was in there and even have a menu from the place.

I remember but bummed I never made it there! And now there's the Garage, with a pick your own top area for M2M.

What I recall vividly is the Gibson Custom Truck, a walk-thru trailer affair chockfull of Custom Shop items on display, most for sale, that went across the country to visit the dealer network.

Don't mean to hijack, but here's a couple shots from my 2008 walk-thru. [New thread for truck here]

I remember the walk through trailer, too. That was back when my buddy was a regional sales and RD guy for Gibson. Henry era. One of these days I'm gonna make it Nashville to see all of the musical sights. Maybe if or when traveling gets any better?

When I was there it was decorated with cut up Les Pauls.

The truck was Gibson's booth one year at NAMM, the year that they issued the Revolution Casino.

I was checking that guitar out when someone asked me to hold it up, and then they blinded me with a photo flash. I was chatting with the guy about the guitar as my vision cleared. Then I realized the guy was Tony Levin.

" I don't need to tell you about this, you've seen the real one."

I visited Nashville a year or so after the area flooded. The location was a candy store at that time. Several years later they set up a tour of the Memphis plant & I was able to go through that…….
