• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

NY Guitar Show: 1 Booth Just opened Up...You do NOT have to drive through NYC to get here!!!!!

We were sold out in the main room, however someone bailed on us last night, still waiting for an explanation, but since he never gave deposit I suppose that’s moot point. With that said, I have a space open of the NY Guitar Show next weekend April 22 & 23 at Freeport NY. Just 20 minutes east of JFK airport. $450 is the price and the booth is an inclusive with table, chairs, pipe and drape, electric and W--Fi. Contact us for info…we can keep a1dding as we can move into the lobby…another great spot, quieter and with those that don’t need electric is perfect. Contact Rich@nyguitarexpo.com or 516-435-8382

THIS WEEKEND!!
NY Guitar Show THIS WEEKEND: Here's Lineup, Info & Directions hide this posting
The NY Guitar Show is set for April 22 & 23 at the Freeport Recreation Center located at 130 E. Merrick Rd. in Freeport, NY 11520. With over 10,000 square feet of exhibit space and many new vendors, we are set up to be fresher and bolder than any of our first 5 years. We are bringing back by popular demand the Les Paul Exhibit, the private Amp Room with Homestead Amps, Taylor Guitars giving away a Taylor acoustic guitar BOTH days of the show and the first 50 people each day get a free set of D'Addario strings. Don't miss this year' show!!

TV Spot Is Done & Running Now: We have the TV spot done and it turned out great if I say so myself. Thanks to Debbie Belvedere of the graphic arts work and Steve at Station Break for building the TV spot. Take a sneak peek and look for it on TV starting April 18th! Sneak peek here www.nyguitarexpo.com/media/2017GuitarExpoTVspot.wmv.

Taylor Guitar Giveaway Both Days NY Guitar Show: Taylor Guitar Giveaway: Taylor will be giving away a guitar BOTH DAYS of the 2017 NY Guitar Show. First up is the GS Mini Bass, an exciting new addition to the popular GS Mini family, the GS Mini Bass is a small-scale acoustic bass that incorporates a pair of breakthrough design features: custom bass strings with a nylon core and phosphor-bronze wrap wire developed by D'Addario and a new Taylor-patented, dual-pronged bridge pin. The result is a compact, ultra-playable acoustic bass with surprisingly rich and deep tone for its size. Academy Series: Taylor's new Academy Series is a line of affordable acoustic guitars designed to make an enjoyable playing experience more accessible than ever before. The new line leverages Taylor's reputation for exceptional playability and tone, packing all the essential features of a great acoustic guitar into an entry-level price point. The new series - featuring the Dreadnought A10e, Grand Concert A12e and nylon-string Grand Concert A12e-N - delivers all the most important qualities a developing player needs to enjoy a rewarding guitar experience - playing comfort, appealing acoustic tone, performance reliability, and the ability to easily maintain it for many years. The series even features a simple armrest on the guitar's lower bout to enhance the playing comfort.

NY Guitar Show Website Blowing Up
The NY Guitar Show website is cranking along as it usually does the closer we get to the show. We've had over 68,000 visitors to our site at www.nyguitarexpo.com from just February 1 to March 20. In March (last month) alone 71,527 and so far in April over 77,000!

More Basses? Your Got It!-You folks asked for more bass guitars and this year we delivered. More of our vintage and used guitar exhibitors along with our retailers will be bringing more bass guitars. We added a new vintage bass dealer in We Buy Basses (LI)! Custom builders like Gamma basses and Fitzgerald are always in our show but this year we added mnanufacturers like Tensor Bass of CA, and custom bass builders like NY Bass Works & McCurdy Bass Guitars.

Lots Of New Exhibitors This Year!-We have over a dozen NEW exhibitors in the show this time around. As you've seen in past newsletters we have been highlighting them as they sign on. Three more (see down the newsletter) have been added this week. New exhibitors include; Booches Guitars, Conquer Entertainment, The Music People, Floating Forest Pedals, We Buy Basses, Moxy Guitars, McCurdy Bass Guitars, Richie's Guitars, Julie Rosenberg Art Guitars, Tensor Basses, Gimenez Guitars, PMA Studios, NY Bass Works, John Mann's Guitar Vault (NH), Rock Solid Guitar Stands and Paul Hartman Guitars.

Private Amp Room with Homestead Amps!! The Private Amp Room this year features Homestead Amps as the sponsor of this event. Users of Homestead Amps include the Rev. Billy F. Gibbons of ZZ Top fame! Homestead Amps is growing leaps and bounds with this latest artist to join the Homestead family along with the latest guitarist to catch the guitar industry's attention - Marcus King. Homestead has gone into pedal production with a germanium boost called the Homestead Undertaker and also a germanium fuzz called the Homestead Preacher. Look for the new urban sized combo which is the size of a tweed Champ but giggable!! The Amp manufacturing giant will be the sole sponsor of the NY Guitar Show's Amp Room at the 2017 Show. Attendees will be able to sample several of McMahon's creations and play as loud as they want! About Homestead Amps: Created in 2014, Homestead Amps are bold, tasteful, and leave a lasting impression on any musician that plays them. Now building for the likes of Warren Haynes, Jay Jay French, John Prestia, Dirk Miller, Deren Ney, Adam Gorman, Tyler Anselmo, Jorgen Carlsson , Bobby Kyle and Linwood Taylor, Haynes has been a long time user, inspiring McMahon to design a line of amps to suit the particular tone of Haynes' signature Gibson Les Paul sound. McMahon's launching of Homestead Amps is to create highly desirable pieces suitable for anyone and everyone. No matter what the customer wants, whether it's for a studio, club, or stadium, Peter can and will create it. www.HomesteadAmps.com
