• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Are there any alternatives to Tonepros and Pigtail out there?

I'm talking about a vintage style wrap for a Jr.

I think that those stew-mac and old 60's Gibson wound-G type bridges are fine for SG types, etc aka something w/a vibrola/Bigsby, etc.
At that point theres so much mass there that its not going to make too much of an audible diff, imo.
I dont know much about your preff's, but you may want a light'n bolt from Gibson?
They are a hard lite weight aluminum alloy and you can use an unwound-G.
Otherwise, " TonePros " is the logical decision, imo.

Does it improve the tone of the shelf?

Enough to get an educated/experienced opinion.

... :hee
