• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Regarding the steel studs, which years were long and short studs? As an addendum, what do you all think about the cost and risks/benefits of modding an R9 for the longer vintage steel studs?

Good Morning . I wonder when the Chambered model was introduced in the historic line (R7, R8, R9, R0)....
Anybody know?

So before 2003 no Brazilian was used on the fretboards? It is Indian?

Could you guys please summarize the patterns for serial numbers for 2012-2017 Historics (and how to tell a 2015 "CS5x Style" from Historics)?

I'm sorry, the thread is too long to read it all thru :)

I've never played a bad 2001, I think that was a special year.

I have a 2006 GC Authentic which is a fabulous guitar.

As a part of my OCGD (Obsessive Compulsive Guitar Syndrome) I have been collecting serial numbers and photos of as a many of these as I can.

If you don't mind saying, is yours 0 XX01 or 02?.

Hi.

I have a Les paul studio with serial number 94030253 the pickups looks different from your original lp pickups but I have been told its the original pickups for this guitar. please can anyone help me find more info on my guitar. (year, model, specs what pickups I have etc.) Every info you can add is of interest.

I believe its a 1994 lp but I am not sure. the reason for all this is I am gonna sell it and want to know as much as possible before that.

Is there such things a 2018 Historic Catalogue (printed/PDF) or these days is it just a case of "look at the website"?
