• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Admittedly I am obsessed with buying which unfortunately means Ive had to sell some great guitars!... My 5th Canadian built Bartlett '59 Les Paul replica.... they've all been great, this is the latest, back to wide flame and deep color!.... Old growth mahogany, dark brazilian board, beautiful wide flamed top with a rich cherry sunburst, Bartlett rings, vintage correct inlays and Royalite binding, 8 1/2 lbs, hard thin naturally checked nitro... Pickups are my favorite vintage long magnet PAFs, '50s ABR1, '50s tailpiece and '50s Centralabs and bees... First video shows off guitar and is played through an early '80 Fender Deluxe II at low volume... second video is through my Friedman PT20 which I absolutely love... finally a 20W amp that really does remind me of my higher watt Plexis....

Hi Ed A, I've a few questions if that's okay? If you were not using genuine PAF's who would you go to for the next best thing?
Who makes your preferred bridge and stop tail?
Is Bartlett approachable for questions from a fellow luthier?

Listening to this latest acquisition, I hear some complex harmonics in the top end frequencies. Am I hearing what you are, or do I need new "ear goggles"..?

Regardless, congratulations on the new guitar.

finish, build. The finish is never right and that aging ... each to their own. I've never seen a burst with orange peel and upside down computer spray checking
I’ve noticed that every single one of your posts involves you poo-pooing other people and then taking exception to the “few times” you come around these parts. What’s wrong…not potty trained in the real world? Have to come here for your poos?
