• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Thanks! God, I love that song, the riff is killer. Loved watching it on Live from Texas DVD. I don't know if some of you noticed, but the riff in the first title on 'rythmeen' album is almost (well, very similar) the same as the 'just got paid riff'...

I love that goldtop but I sure miss that hip rhythm lick that was on the original song after the slide solo. And 7 minutes 10 seconds, was a lot longer than the original 4:27. On the upside, the town was FAT!

Anyone know what pick ups he's likely to have in that goldtop? Maybe Tom Holmes or something?

The Rev tends to be deceptive and misleading about his equipment details, to keep copycats off his trail.

If you've ever seen his Gearhead book, there is a big gap in that there is zero mention of the amps or FX he uses.

Someone mentioned in another thread here on the forum that Gibson will come up with a
"Billy Gibbons Inspired Model" later this year. I'm looking forward to hear more about that.

so, 2009 is the year of the bloomfield, the number 2, and the pearly gates?

as for the mojaves, always a possibility. there are a gajillion really good plexi style amps out there and it wouldnt suprise me if billy got a new one every other month.

"Handmade by the master luthiers at the big G, this tiny run of gold top Pauls will feature custom pinstriping by BFG himself, special neck inlays, one pickup (the neck will be a dummy), NO toggle switch, and THREE control knobs. Upping the ante is an incredibly lightweight chambered body (it weighs less than a Telecaster) and an ultra-weathered custom shop “relic” finish that will top the whole thing off. Expect around a dozen of these bad boys to ever see the light of day. And start saving your pennies now…"

Maybe it won't be Pearly. If there is only a dozen, I'm sure they will command a pretty high price.

Thanks for posting psigh4.
That's what I remembered reading here on the LPF. There was no talk about a Gibbons/Pearly Sig.
