Centralab Pots Are Being Reissued (Update: Don't Buy Them)

I’m excited for this, and I’m sure many Gibson purists as well. Centralab is being resurrected and should be selling these 550k pots within the next month or two. From what I'm hearing they spent a lot of time getting the taper right and the inconsistencies nailed down (9% tolerance). I'll be interested to see how these stack up against the originals and the other options out there.

They'll be sold exclusively on Reverb. They won't be able for another month or so. I'll post a link here when they become available!

Originals were all over the place, up to 800k I believe. I think 550k has been a good median for both VIP and now the reissues

I had the bridge volume pot in my 68 LPC read 768k. I sent it to Jim Wagner and he repaired it so it reads around 540k now.

I’m definitely not lol. Only reason I know is because I waited 2 months for a wiring harness from Jackson and he offered me the new Centralabs demos/prototypes. I believe it’s him and the original owner of Centralab or something like that
