• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Never thought I get a Two Rock after trying one a while back. Had trouble dialing in a great sound, too many switches and dials and then once I got a decent clean tone, had to mess that all up to get a decent lead tone. $5K and too much work.

Not sure what has transpired in past 15-20 years, but a buddy brought one out to a friendly jam night and I plugged in an immediately was impressed. Then noticed that guys whose tone I dig like Matt Schofield and Joey Landreth were using them, Joey's demo videos sounded so fantastic through his Bloomfield Drive and now his Signature. So I found this 50 watt combo used. Sounds great in the living room. We'll see how she does with a B-3, bass and drums later this week.

Messed with preamp tubes, Buggle Boy V1, gold pin Mullard 12AT7 in V2 and a Brimar CV4004 in V4...any others mess with tubes or speaker swaps?

Oh man Killer amp, Two Rock makes some great stuff, over the last two years I jumped into the "dumble clone" arena and have been very very happy with the tonal results. turn it up loud brother

Not sure why a PRS would be next?

Have a 1986 PRS guitar, from Paul's first shipment to Sam Ash on 48th Street that I bought new.

Ampwise have and play - 1959 Deluxe, 1964 AC-30, 1966 JTM45, 1966 BFSR, Komet K60 #8, Alessandro B n'T, Carol-Ann OD2, Carr Mercury V...

Or maybe I should get a fake Trainwreck?

Was in touch with Ken for a few years, was on list for an Express and Rocket, but he spent most of his time talking to folks on the phone by then, not building. Met Hogy and Mike in Baton Rouge by chance, was going to lunch at Poor Boy Lloyds and noticed some amp chassis with Mullards and Telefunkens at a storefront called Riverfront Music, went inside a chatted. They were shocked that I knew Ken as they were working with him on Komet prototypes. Ordered a K60 on the spot, ended up with #8.
