My latest .. an '08 PRS Custom 22 Triple Soapy .. inititally these were to be called the Nashville series. This one is unusual as it has flamed mahogany neck , most are maple. The Pickup selection is unique Neck/Neck +Mid/Neck+Bridge/ Mid+Bridge/Bridge.

All the rich soapy sound courtesy of PRS/Duncan Antiquities , and great out of phase Strat tones too . The tortiseshell finish is part of a "Wood Library" run the neck shape is the same as the DGT slightly narrow and DEEP .

I have owned a few Tokai ES examples but I eventually ended up selling them all.
I could never find a Tokai ES with a fuller, fatter feeling neck; they all seemed a bit anemic.

Hopefully your Tokai ES is a keeper for you.

What kind of music do you use it for?

Pretty much anything I would use a Rickenbacker for. It has a lot of jangle, that's for sure. I found this one at Guitar Center, and I hit a chord on it, and it was so resonant I felt like I was getting a shock right through me without it plugged in. I bought it without even plugging it into an amp.

The original tuners were in the case, and I have some Pyramid flats to put on it, but I've been so swamped I haven't gotten there yet.

Picture a Rickenbacker but bigger, that's what it sounds like. I can post a clip if you want because I just started using it for a demo. That's actually when I took this pic on Thursday.

This one is deep. It’s 1 and 10/16 wide at the nut though, 1/16 less than it should be, but it isn’t really noticeable.

My Teye La Perla that I bought in March of this year. I had a very bad experience with my first Teye guitar as the low e-string never sounded in-tune to me so I sold it. I would have never bought another Teye, except I found this one in a pawn shop that was selling it on ebay. They knew it was somewhat valuable but I offered them a pretty low offer and they took it. My idea was to sell it soon as I got it, until I played it, and absolutely fell in love with.

I can't say enough good about, but, it's lightweight (8.5lbs), feels great in my hand neck-wise, great fretwork, low action, has ridiculously great rock and roll tones, and to me looks just the way I want a rock and roll guitar to look like since I've been in love with Zemaitis style guitars since I was a teen and watching Ron Wood one play his Z guitars. Teye was a friend of Tony Zemaitis and owned two originals before he started building his guitars...

I wrote this song with it the first day that I plugged it in...

It came in a coffin case that I hated, so after falling in love with it, I got a proper case custom made for it by Cedar Creek.

A few months ago I picked up an SG Tribute. My back has been getting worse, I needed something light to gig with. This guy only weighs 6 pounds. And it doesn't have the skinny neck that I don't like.

I've since replaced the 490's with 57/57+ pickups.

Flanked by my Gibson Original Collection Explorer and Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop 1958 Korina Explorer.

The Momose is on another level of fit and finish and fretwork. And I love the Gibson and the Epi. The photo is a little blurry.

I assume that one has the BEANO pickups; how do you like them?

I had the (Alnico 2) BEANO pickups in a 2013 Momose MES1 and they sound like pure magic!

I am told that it has Mojotone '59s. From Momose. They are supposedly Alnico 4.

They are really cool and do all sorts of overtone, double tone type things in the top end.

I love P-90s and have a couple of sets of Tom Holmes and some other PAF type pickups. All of which I love and appreciate for the somewhat magical things that they do. The Mojotones are unique and almost seem to have even more going on. I definitely get a grin when playing them. And the rest of the guitar is just next level quality. I am mildly surprised by how well made it is, how good the fit and finish is, how impressive the fret work is.

I am really digging the Futura layout. As wild as it is, it is almost more practical than the Explorers or my reverse body Firebird. The crazy split headstock even feels just like a normal 3x3 when tuning and playing.
