• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

As was stated earlier. Clapton was using Sunn Coliseum amp on the Live D&D.
are there any pictures of that ? all the photos of D&D i have seen show a backline of mostly fenders. and Sunn attempted to sway Clapton during the cream days and were turned down after a few hours demo in Oakland

sunns were present on stage but i think they were actually just being used as the PA for the vocals. claptons guitar sounds like fender on fender at least to my stupid ears

You can see 2 SUNN heads to Claptons Left., sitting on top of a Marshall 4 x 12, And the cabinet on the block, looks like a 4 x 12 SUNN Cabinet. Probably loaded with JBL D120s.

Jeff Beck also used a SUNN Head, and Univox 6 x 12 cabinets, with a Princeton Rvb, around this time period. John Mclaughlin, and Santana also used them for a short time in the early 70s.

That is Fillmore East. No PA on stage there.
