Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
There should be plenty of under-9-lb Historics out there.
Based on the weight of the models you play, I dont think you'll last a day with a guitar over 8 lbs 8 oz. (8 1/2 lbs)
If you go heavier, you'll find you dont reach for it, like your others
I need suggestions for replacing the awful factory switch/pots/caps on my 2018 CS-336 P90. The place I've used for years for wiring/harness replacement hasnt responded to 3 emails and a voicemail, so I'm moving on.
This guitar is a Gibson Special Run. It's a 1-piece, chambered mahogany body...
That serial number might be in that range, but having owned 4 R8's, 1 R6 and 1 R9 from 2001, I can tell you with surety, none of them had a serial number font that looks like the one on yours.

This is a one-off/M2M. The players who would want an all gold R7, then on top of that with a Bigsby, would be...
ohhh they may have picked it. What happens is a dealer will place an order. He can specify the type of top ( tight stripes, wide flame, flecks etc) or ask to pick from a choice of tops. Tthe Custom Shop will take photos of and send to him.
They'll then trace the body outline and hit it with a...

the serial number breakdown would be:
8 - the reissue model year in this case 1958
8 - the calender year the guitar was made by Gibson Custom....could be either a 2008 or 2018 ( or for some models a 1998. specs/colors usually distinguish between the...
