    my '19 Special TV smells like cake. vanilla cake. i had a Fender Tele, Jr that smelled similar. is that the nitrocellulose paint? i never knew that. thanks, i just learned something.

    i dig 'em! after wanting one since the mid-80s, when they were going for about $650 for a real '56, i was lucky to get a 2019 model last year from a friend who was selling it to finance a nice acoustic. i jumped on it, and used it the next night at a gig!

    SRV at "Great America" in Santa Clara, CA on 5/21/89. i've been to quite a few concerts, but this show stands out as one of the most satisfying and moving performances i've ever experienced.
