Pics from the store I bought from. I traded in a 2011 R9. I always wanted to compare the new construction with the old. (hide glue etc.). I put it up against a dozen or so 2013+ ones. Finally this one really won out. Left Gibson about 9/2/21.
So with the makeovers, it seems that the consensus is that the truss rod and hide glue make a big difference. So if that is the case, in general, these 2013 guitars should have a marked improvement in tone and sustain one would think. If not then what?
They are using steel. Don't feel like paying 40 bucks for brass ones. Anyone have experience with these?
