    Gibson Les Paul Conversions

Here's mine. 55/56 conversion to '59 (no serial, but originally a stoptail guitar) done by jumping@shadows. Love this thing.

    NGD 54/55 Conversion

So I finally picked up the guitar this week, and boy o boy is she a stunner. "Becky" (LOL) is now back to her "original" burst conversion spec from the early 70s, and @Jumping@Shadows did an AMAZING job on her. Feels just as old as she is, and although I've only ever tried one original burst I...

    '52 Conversion Valuation

+1 on pictures?. FWIW I’d say a black top would fetch a bit less than a burst conversion.

    Current bursts for sale...

Last digit is an x. The guitar was thought to be a 58 for many years, but apparantly is a 59 in the 9042-range.

    Current bursts for sale...

Missing serial, neck repaired but otherwise supposedly all original. And what a beautiful top. Seems like a lot for a issue burst, but still only half of a no-issue guitar. Hidden treasure! Tale of the ‘72/‘58/‘53’ Les Paul Goldtop, Burst conversion..

Personally I’d never convert an all original ol’ LP, but as we all know many of the 50’s guitars have already been refin’ed or damaged back when they didn’t have the value they have today. I’ve yet to see a convincing Goldtop refin, as it seems to be a very difficult finish to get right - «it’s...

    HELP! Tuners for a 1974 EDS-1275

So I have a rather lovely 1974 EDS-1275 in walnut that is all original except for the tuners for the six string. I've tried finding replacements without luck, if anyone has any good ideas as to where I can find some (preferrably) original ones or some decent aged remakes I would be a happy...

    52/59 LP Conversion

I think the price is pretty much what similiar conversions go for. And the seller is a very honest and fair guy, so wouldn’t be worried about this one. looks amazing!
