I couldn't bring myself to do a full conversion on this '54, so instead, I just converted it from a goldtop to a 'burst. It's got a one-piece, mildly blistered top, painted and aged (non-razor blade method) by Tom Murphy.

That is the one, and yes, those Bigsby holes were definitely in there. It was the first thing I noticed when I saw the guitar, except maybe for the color.

While apparently not "shipped", I thought I'd show this baggage label that's on one of my vintage '50s Lifton Les Paul cases. Looks to me like it (and its contents, I assume) may have traveled as baggage/cargo on a commercial flight, which is almost as alarming.
