Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
My older brother (who also plays guitar), says that Fender guitars were just mass production, while the Gibsons were a piece of art. Ahh, hmm, is there any truth in that?
Fender Vibro Champ XD. Sounds really good. It's a tube amp, but has a lot of digital effects. You can play anything from a clean sound to the worst metal. ;)
It's only 15W, so it's perfect if you play at home. But use a microphone, and you can gig with too. ;) Cheap amp, but with a lot of...
I started playing guitar pretty late- I think I was 13-14 something. All my heroes played melodic hard rock- Thin Lizzy, Van Halen, Deep Purple, Whitesnake and so on. After a while I started to listen to really fast guitarplayers, like Helloween, Yngwie Malmsteen. But now that I'm old, I mostly...
I had a 1966 Vox AC 50, but it got stolen. I use this Orange tiny terror now. It has got the sound that I like- I just plug it right in. I have this Marshall JCM 900, but I need at least 3 pedals to make it sound good. No, I like my Orange- tube amp for a reasonable price. :dude:
It's a 50:th aniversary Flying V with ebony fretboard. Limited edition 1000 ex, mine is 814. Does anybody know what these are going for today? (Sorry about the bad picture.)

I have 13 Gibsons and three Fender strats. It seems like it's a bad thing beeing a collector, but I'm both a player and collector. I've played in several bands, and have won rock contests. Is it really bad to collect? (I'm 46 now, so the "rock star" dreams arn't very real. Lol :dude:)
Maybe a stupid question, but it's funny. I have this Les Paul and when I press the strings hard, it sounds out of tune. When I play lightly, there is no problem. Should I learn to play lightly on the strings, or should I get the guitar fixed?
I shouldn't say anything- I have a bursted '68. But I know this guy who has two 1952 Goldtops and he would never convert them. Why? He says it's like destroying the guitar. What's your opinion on this?
Just watched this. Isn't incredible how much better Gary Moore's burst sound compared to Scott Gorham's Deluxe?

I've been offered to buy a 1953 Goldtop with the trapezi tailpiece changed for a wraptail. It's in pretty good condition. What is a reasonable price? Half that of "real" 1953/54?
Yes! After several months I finally scored this guitar from a local rockstar, who is obiously short on cash. I got it for a really nice price. :) I love it......it's one of these one of a kind guitars that is so outstanding. Ihope to post some pics soon in its original case. :)
A 1974 routed Deluxe that I bought back in 1989. For many years it was my only electric guitar. It fell at one time so it has had a headstock repair. Good work and very stable. Right now it has a Tim Shaw "PAF" in the bridge and a late short magnet PAF in the neck position. I don't know, but...
