I just wired a pair of Antiquity Pickups from SD. Into my Les Paul. I’ve been such a fan of 57 classics that I was persuaded those were the pickups for me until these Antiquity pickups. Has anyone had any luck with these?

I used them for years. They are very detailed. To me, almost like Strat pickups. You cannot hide in them. Impressive.

I have a pair in my Lester.
I can get the neck pickup to sound and act exactly like the PAF in my '58 ES175.
I think they're as good as a modern pickup can be.
A lot of folks compare sounds they have in their head, or try to match a sound that was made in a room, with an amp, a mic, a guitar, a player, a recording console, an EQ, mixed, mastered, compressed, heard through their stereo....
I'm very fortunate to have an actual PAF to compare to.

I had an '06 R8 with one in the bridge position, and it really complimented the stock BB-1 in the neck.

Recently I put an Antiquity in my '69 LPC and am quite pleased. This guitar seems to be very bright, so I have tried numerous pickups over the years.

I have found them bright and less 3D than say, Throbaks…but there is a price difference in that mix. They do capture the PAF essence well, and for the money you get rings, springs and screws.

For some reason tho the rings are curved and definitely won’t work on an SG. Oh, and they are always black. I really like the pickup tho.

I have a pair of SD Antiquities in my '10 Les Paul Standard, I love their sound! The neck pickup sounds fantastic, very sweet with a lot of top end definition! When I removed the original covers I was quite surprised that mine were both double white/cream. The neck pickup now sports an aftermarket 50s style cover.
