Burst 9-1998

9-1998 appears to have come back onto the market. If the serial number is in fact 9-1998, it seems to have changed since Uncle Lou had it. Two guitars with the same serial?

Here is when Lou had it several years ago. Gil also had this guitar prior to Lou.

Do you mean they have the same serial? Obviously it's not the same guitar... The bald spot near the neck tone is not there, it missing some mineral streaks and the flame is much tighter on the Gruhn gtr.

They are definitely not the same guitar. It looks like they may have the same serial number, which would be bad.

The Gruhn guitar is the true 9_1998. The Lou/Gil guitar had its serial number scratched off, was photographed and is in a book with the scratched serial, then had a new number applied long before the real 9_1998 was found.

So, then the missing ledgers weren't so "missing" when the guitar had it's new serial number applied?

Or, they're saying it's a coincidence they used a real # from a very similar and crazy rare 'burst type.
