I’m looking to add an extension cab to my Friedman Twin Sister combo. The Redback speaker that it comes with is 16ohms, but it appears that the EVM 12L only comes in 8ohms now. Is it possible to run these two together?

Thanks!

Anything is possible but that wouldn't be optimal.
Thanks.

Straight from Dave Friedman “Set amp to 4 ohms”. I’m trying to land a 16ohm Series II speaker from the ‘80s, but if I can’t then I’ll just get the Classic.

Cheers

@CK6, know that when running speakers of differing impedances together that the lower impedance speaker will receive more signal than does the higher impedance. The EV will dominate the sonics. Ime, it is best to mix speakers that have the same impedance as well as equal efficiency. Then each speaker has an equal voice in the results.
