Last time I went I made the road trip from Chicago to La Crosse in a blizzard, still worth it. Also, if you're buying a new Gibson/Fender/PRS et cetera that's one of the best shops to get a chance to play 10+ examples of a certain guitar if the downstairs showroom is still layers high. (?) They do a ton of online business and both times I was there the vibe was incredibly laid back, like a hang, the way shops used to be. And, Mr. Dave could not have been more welcoming.
