• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • Please support our Les Paul Forum Sponsors with your business - Gary's Classic Guitars, Wildwood Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, Throbak.com and True Vintage Guitar. From personal experience doing business with all of them, they are first class organizations. Thank you!

On a scale of 1-10...
a) RS pots = 8
b) Lightweight Tailpiece + locking studs = 4 (But a 9+ in sustain!)
c) Fresh Strings = 5
d) Thinner pick = 4
f) Amp Position = 6 (Get those combos off the floor)
g) Practice with the amp pointed right at your face, at a sane volume = 10

e)? What happened to e)? :wah I guess that would be the magnets

I put a pair of long magnets in a pair of WB 67-07s and it was completely off the hook! I was plugged into my buddy's amp and he had this stunned look on his face...he'd never heard his amp make those kinds of sounds! LOL.
