I recently purchased a used les paul studio from guitar center and have had it a couple weeks and I decided to give it a harder look after reading horror stories about cracks and falling out of tune and noticed what looks like a hairline crack in the finish or wood at the bottom of the neck running on the side about 1/8 inch but cant tell.im a beginner and wanted a American guitar to learn on and liked the feel of the guitar.but now after noticing this crack I'm worried that it will only get bigger and break is there anyone in this forum that can help? I have a pic and will try to post it not sure how im old lol Thanks for any advice

You need a pic hosting website that gives you a URL link, then use the button with the Sun + Mountains and paste the link there. Other sub-forum 'pubs' allow you to upload a < 1Meg pic directly from computer. Perhaps the latter is best, start a new thread with your problem under the Sunburst Pub for USA production.

If it is where the binding on the side of the fingerboard meets the top of the guitar it is pretty normal.

Even on some with no binding.

Is that what it is?
