I don't care about Emily's appearance or her playing here. It's the script and the narrative it weaves e.g. "she [Mary] could go note for note with Les Paul." Ummm.... no. They needn't have conflated Les' series of innovative achievements with Mary. It's a disservice to both.

Mary was very talented, achieved much, and is certainly appreciated for her skills; let's not pretend multi-tracking her vocals, etc. was her brainchild. She helped execute Les' vision with aplomb; that's fitting legacy enough along with her ample talent.
