I own a Les Paul copy that was purchased in 1978. It was my first guitar that I bought when taking lessons. I recently found it cleaning out my mothers basement. The insides were corroded so I had the internals replaced. The pickups were in decent shape and it plays but not the sound I am looking for. I play a lot of metal and want to up grade the pickups with some Seymour Duncans. Does anyone have any ideas on which pickup to go with?

Well that really depends on what "metal" is to you...

- JB
- Duncan Distortion
- Duncan Custom 59 Hybrid

and here's what they say...

What type of tones are you going for? What gear are you using it with? And are you set on Duncan pickups, or open to other options?

I'm going for a more modern metal tone. Lamb of God, Arch Enemy, BLS, etc. I have a Boss Katana gen 3 100/212 amp. I was set on Duncan pickups but am open to other options.
