This will be an exact copy of the monkey Guitar. The guitar that started it all wit Black Sabbath sans the Fender Strat. I was told Gibson is testing out A few things. Well probably see this come to fruition next Yr? I’m sure they’ll have custom and aged replicas. Just figured I’d pass this info on to those who are a fan.

Let's hope they fix the intonation that plagued his first one and it has 24 frets :headbange

No. This is his first guitar. It was a Gibson SG Special. 22 frets. I believe if was used for Black Sabbath and Paranoid only? Possibly MAster of Reality and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath? But I thought john birch built him his “old boy” after paranoid? He asked Gibson to build him a 24fret. The declined. To which he’s worked with Birch since he used his (Birch)pickups in the monkey. This is the guitar he gave to Hard Rock Cafe. The John Birch “old boy” was 24frets. Heres the guitar “the monkey” that will be replicated:

You're right, the 24 was the second one:salude
This one should have something that looks and sounds like the one with the John Birch pickups with the stainless steel covers.

I am pretty sure the Monkey guitar was used on all of the classic albums with Ozzy.

I will watch for this replica with interest. I love SG's and I love Immoi. :dude:

Yes. I spoke with John Birch Guitars today and was asking if they remade the pickups used in Iommis SG? They said the neck PUP was going to be a little while before they get to sell any. I told him I wanted both. They said Gibson is trying them out. So I asked if that wa their plan to replicate the Monkey SG? They said yes hopefully
