It's a MIJ Hybrid '68 Stratocaster in Sherwood Green Metallic. Sherwood Green is just one of those colors that I lust over. And this one has a maple neck, not the rosewood or pau ferro stuff they're using now due to CITES. Free shipping from Japan, but there are probably tarrifs. Do I want to do this? I told myself no new guitars until my custom-made job is finished...

I do, too. I don't care for rosewood fingerboards, and since Fender almost never uses ebony, the choice is left to maple (or pau ferro...). That's what attracted me to this one, because the others that have started appearing on fleaBay all have rosewood.

Sadly, I'm going to pass on this one. It has a "U" shaped neck, and I just don't have the fingers for it.

Neck shape and size matter a lot . You have to have a comfortable neck .

Last time I bought a guitar from Japan there were no tariffs to pay but it was old (Mosrite) and about n15 years ago.

Love the color. My Nash Esquire was that same combination of Sherwood green and maple board.

I keep going back to look at this. Jeeeeeebers it's beautiful and elegant. Sometimes you need to dress up and put on a classy guitar. Hell, I'd wear this one at a non-polyester soiree.
