So Wildwood is stealing the brass parts and putting steel in the new Les Pauls? Interesting! ??

How can you tell? By holding a magnet up to them?
A magnet would reveal it. Brass isn’t magnetic. Neither is nickel. However does the specs call out for brass? I see no mention of it.

spoke with Bruce at Wildwood and he said nickel plated brass but never did find out from Gibson what was on the 2019 wildwood spec build sheet at that time, who knows if it was spec'd that way or parts puller error

FYI,

I bought both my Gibson Custom Shop guitars from Wildwood (thanks Bruce). 2019 R9 and 2021 ES335 '59 Wildwood Spec.

Both bridges and tailpieces pass the magnet test. However, the R9's stud thumb wheels are both magnetic while the WW Spec 335' tail piece studs are magnetic while it's bridge thumbwheels are non-magnetic.

YMMV

What are the bridges supposed to be made of? I thought those were always steel? I know tailpieces are aluminum. Tail piece studs are steel. Thumb wheel and studs are supposed to be brass from 2019 on though perhaps 2021 and on are brass?
