Hello all,
Awhile back, I bought an old 1959 Les Paul Junior. Years before I got it, someone replaced the Klusons with Grovers. I've shopped around for awhile for a set of original Klusons for it, but until I find a good set for a decent price, I'd like to pick up a set of aged reproductions...
Hello all,
I'm a proud owner of a 1959 Les Paul Junior. I do sincerely love the guitar, but can't help wondering how the earlier Singlecut version differs. I would assume the singles weigh a little more. Does that make them sound better or sustain longer? Do they have the same small frets...
Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone knows if Les played or liked the Junior and Special models? I've been googling, but haven't turned up anything yet.
Thanks,
Brad
Hello Gents,
I finally have some good news to announce...
My 1956 Les Paul Custom Resurrection is finished!!!
As I said, when I got the guitar, it was in really poor condition. First off, she was basically unplayable due to totally worn-out "Fretless Wonder" frets. I had a set of jumbo...
Hello all,
I'm looking at some PAFs, and found a couple for sale, but I've never seen the stickers placed off to the side like this. Do they look legit to you?
Thanks,
Brad
Hello all,
I'm looking for a nice PAF for the neck position of my 1956 Les Paul Custom. (She was routed for humbuckers long before I got her.) I know the "jazz" PAFs have a narrower string spacing, and I've read they'll still sound awesome in a Lester. I was just wondering if they'd look...
Hello all,
I have a couple really nice Prehistoric Flametop reissues for sale at the moment. Someone has proposed trading his Two Rock Classic Reverb for one of them. I really don't know that much about them. I've watched a couple Youtube videos, but there are only a few, and I'm not...

Hello all,
I was searching for the current price range of "Prehistoric" Flametop Reissue Les Pauls, but couldn't find anything since early 2012. Back then, I read the values range from $3500 to $4500. Does that still seem to be in the ballpark?
Thanks,
Brad
Hello all,
I got a 1959 Junior a couple of months ago. I LOVE the guitar, but I've noticed that the knobs don't match. It's a little hard to see in the photo, but the numbers on the volume knob are a little bigger than the tone knob. Also, there's a very slight "dish" to the top of the volume...
Hello all,
I just got a 1956 Les Paul Custom. It's a bit of a mongrel, but she's very cool. Somebody routed the guitar for humbuckers at some point, but that's no big deal for me. When I want P-90 tone, I have a 1959 Les Paul Junior that fills that bill nicely. This will be a work in progress...
Hello all,
I love Black Beauties, and while searching online, I found an old 50s Les Paul Custom that could be cool, but it definitely needs some attention.
There is one thing I noticed that worries me though. There appears to be a crack between the volume and tone knob. I'm guessing it...
Hello all,
I've tried searching, but haven't found a whole lot of info. With the current economy, what is the current market value of a rewound Gibson PAF? Does it matter if it was one or both coils? I'm guessing the value is increased a bit based on the color of the coils, as well as who did...
Hello all,
I have what has probably been asked ad nausem, but after a quick search, I'm still wondering. How does one tell if a Gibson PAF is the real deal? I found this webpage:
http://home.provide.net/~cfh/paf.html
But let's say the pickup still has the cover on it. Now how do you tell...
