One P90 cover neck (short cover) from 1953 with the rare swirly plastic for $150 OBO or trade for a PAF clone pickup (Electric City, Rewind, Wolfetone, Wizz, Rolph or offer me what you have).
For reference see page 94 on book " The Les Paul legacy" by Rob Lawrence, with a photo of a P 90 cover which is identical to mine. Text below the pic: "This rare, multicolored swirled cover ( similar to the ES-295 version ) was made of the slightly thicker and more brittle plastic material used in 1953."

I recently acquired a Lot of plastics, which contains a p90 cover with swirly plastic surface. The color is more cream than bone, it contains no number inside, its a short version for the neck. Somewhere i read about them to be the earliest covers, but i can't find the thread. Is that true? Is...
