Sooo, I was checking out a few new releases from the Gibson Mod Collection and saw a P90 R5 that, to my eye, looked like the usual Oxblood finish on a plaintop..but it was designated as a "Phlox Top." Maybe it was more of a plum color than an oxblood, but it was very similar. Just for curiosity's sake...does anyone know what that is?

NOTE: It's not an Historic Collection R5, it's a Standard 50s from the Original Collection.

It's newly minted nomenclature for unique Mod Collection top, named after a flowering plant which comes in a variety of colors including shades of blueberry to amethyst purple.

They tend to have seasonal color selections, and as we are heading into Spring, you'll see more Spring / Easter colors arrive in the Mod Collection.

That's a Stain Nitro, BTW. Basically a shade of purple, that looks rather matte or flat not metallic.
