I have the opportunity to buy one of these and I'm curious if anyone knows the specs and pickups this model comes with.

I tried the waybackmachine, but it doesn't work for the old Gibson custom site.

From what I can tell from the pics, it appears to be gloss, not VOS, and has Grovers. Weight is about 10 lbs, which I think is normal for a custom.

The all mahogany customs? I have a TV Yellow one from 2004 (see avatar). It was gloss when new. It has 57 Classic humbuckers. The neck is nice and fat. Grover tuners. I love the sound. It can get plenty bright but it’s not plinky/crispy like some of the maple top versions.

The one in your avatar is a beauty.

All I know about this one is that it's all mahogany, looks gloss, and has grovers. I reached out to Gibson but they said they'd need pics and to possibly see the inside.

Not sure on the pickups. Is it safe to assume that all reissues have a long tenon?

Long tenon, yes.

It will be Gloss, because that's a pre-VOS year. VOS came about ~2006.

Perhaps someone knows more definitively, but my recollection was that 2002-ish was a transitional period where you might get BurstBucker BB 1/2, even reported BB 2/3 combos ... but I've seen early 2000s with 57s as well.

Neck is 50s Rounded C pretty beefy with somewhat flatness almost D. Remember there was more variation those days than the profiles they aim for now.

FYI and FWIW: Regarding how Gloss will wear over the years, here's another pic with the dullness more prominently captured. Also lacquer yellowing.

If the Custom is a '57 reissue from 2006 it should have an ABR-1 bridge, long neck tenon, and burstbucker pickups. The body would be all mahogany and electronics would be short shaft linear taper 500KOhm with early style bumble bee caps (ie not like current version bees).

If it has a Nashville bridge it is NOT a '57 reissue and would have the short tenon.
Body would be with a maple cap and have 490R/498T pickups, electronics would be long shaft linear taper 500KOhm with small ceramic caps. Basically a regular LP Custom.

Note that all LP Customs from 2017 forward, both reissues and regular, have long neck tenons.

Hope this helps.

The specs of a 2006 LPB7 should be gloss finish with burstbucker 1 & 2 pickups 500k linear pots and the fake bumblebees caps. I had my harness changed out by MSSC to CTS 550k audio pots and real bees in My '03' LPB7 and the burstbuckers 1&2 changed to Electric City Pickups RD 59 low winds.
Hopes this helps.

Here's a larger photo. Note that I changed the knobs. I like the reflectors with the Nickel hardware. I really like this guitar.

I had no idea they were available in tv yellow. How much does it weigh? I've read the ones from back then are usually closer to 10 plus.

There were 60 produced in TV Yellow 2004 as a Sam Ash exclusive. Mine weighs 9 lbs, 13 oz. The Yellow ones had Nickel Hardware. All the others I've seen are gold. I've seen both Grover and Kluson Tuners. In addition to Yellow, I've seen these in Black, Orange Sparkle, Faded Cherry, and what I perceived as a very Dark Green. It could have been Yellowed Nitro over Black. The neck depth on mine starts at .935 at the first fret.

The Cherry ones start out the same color as an SG but fade to a warm brown over time. They are beautiful (see below)
