I can't see them for sale anywhere just yet. They just appeared on the Gibson website in the last few days and under the Custom Shop listing.

I don’t think I can stretch to another custom shop guitar, but would probably buy a regular USA model.

I’m sure they’ll be hitting the big dealer websites soon.

Gibson had one at the recent NAMM Show and it was spectacular. I own an '07 and love it, but I was quite impressed with the new one. Mine was called a "1960 TV Special" at the time so I am glad they corrected that designation. Didn't Gibson cease production of these for a while?

Funny that the Gibson website doesn't indicate a price as it does for all the other LP models.

Can you tell me if the 57 Special and Junior will only be made at the Custom Shop?

I was hoping there would be a USA line.

There are USA models, look for them mid year. I wish they had a proper TV finish instead of that awful opaque mustard yellow color, but the Les Paul and SG Specials and matching Jrs look great!!

I wish they had proper matchng 59 Double Cut versions too but the 2019 line up is a winner, IMO.

The prices are crazy for a Junior on line. Go out and buy a vintage one for that money- or better yet a 2005. They are everything a CS one is.

Jim, they aren't available yet, do you mean Historics? My understanding is they will be priced like last years version. My son bought a 2018 singlecut 57 type Jr new w/case for waaaaaay less than the $1500. street price from our friends atthe HOG.

I'm betting both USA Special and Jr will street less than 2K, and you cannot even get trashed beat too shit vintage Singlecuts at twice that price!. A clean original singlecut Melody Maker D sells between 4-5K and Specials much, much more, like 2X more.

These new 57 and 63 style USA Specials and Jrs should bring the p90/mahogany magic in a close to vintage spec version at realistic prices.

There are 57/59 versions of Custom Shop models as well and will be more accurate and expensive as expected.

Sorry I missed your call, not sure when to return it.

I was looking at 57 Historic Jr's on a site- over $5K. These were 2018's.

At NAMM the '57 Special was hanging with the Custom Shop guitars, while the Junior was with the USA models. The Junior had a very unique top to it - more of a honey than the yellow top of 50's Juniors. I liked it better than the natural mahogany tops with sunburst edges on previous Juniors (other than the Billie Joe Armstrong models). Will there be a USA Junior and a Custom Shop Junior?

I just now see that Gibson is showing a Junior on their website, offered in 50's style TV or Sunburst finishes. $3,799 for these while the Special, only shown in TV, still has no price on its page. I would say these Juniors would be Custom Shop, based on those prices. It is not really explained as to whether these guitars are USA or Custom Shop products.

Last years mostly correct Jr had a vintage correct Jr Burst. The new version is spot on minus the shaded heel.
