99 Jensen p10r's sound great

As many of you know, I love tweed amps. Most all come with vintage alnico Jensens and many need reconing or if your lucky they are in great shape. Nothing beats an original P10r or P10q for sound in my ears. I tried some 99 Jensen p10r's and compared to a pair of older reconed jensen p10r's. The newer Jensens kicked the recone speakers ass. I was blown away of how much more high end they had. Anyone had similar experiences with these newer series speakers. The original untouched are better than reissues, but the older reissues impress me

Really glad you posted this. I have 4 of these from the first run. Had them as back-ups for my Bassman. Just never needed them. Might give them a try and spare the originals. Still in sealed boxes.

They may need to be broken in for sure.
