Small question about when you measured for the anchor bushing. Does the anchor sit flush to the bottom of the hole? or is there a small gap?

I want the bushing to be about 1/16" below the surface of the top and sit flush to the bottom of the hole.

Thanks for getting back to me.

So vintage Les Paul's had the bushing touch the bottom then?
I have had this conversation with a few builders and vintage experts and everyone has a different view.

I was able to talk Jim out of keeping it. It now has 1957 PAF's, vintage knobs & is just outstanding.

Re Wilko's question on break-in period, my '56 Std to all cherry red and PAFs keeps improving in tone and looks now going on 3 years out...thanks Gord!
