• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Can I join the club?

was that the one on EBay last week? I was watching that and it went for a very reasonable price compared with some up to 7K on the bay at the moment ( Note the dark spot below the bass side of the bridge).Congrats on bagging a bargain if this is the one!!

Yes that's the one, well spotted! I was (very pleasantly) surprised at the price I got it for myself, I was expecting it to go much higher.

Not at all - the more the merrier. Yours looks like it had a neck pickup fitted at some point?

Yep. Someone tried a little chop and change on mine, but then a good caretaker came by and put it back proper.
There are already plenty of Specials in the world. No need to cut up another rare vintage guitar to make it something it's not.

Thanks for the additional pics. Nice obligatory cig burn in headstock, sort of ties the whole vibe together.
