Can someone help me verify the year of my LP?

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, just wondering if someone can help me with the year of my Les Paul. I bought it used on consignment, and the tag says it's an 86 LP Standard. The serial # is 80806572. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
