I also posted about this guitar on another site but also really wanted to show all of you Les Paul fans, this Beauty.
I really liked Zakk’s signature guitar but really wasn’t a fan of the Bullseye graphic. So, years ago I placed a Special Order with
Gibson’s Custom Shop for a Zakk Wylde in Black, there was a quick back and forth, but they eventually agreed to make one for me $$$$.

It came with his EMG set, gold hardware and a Nashville bridge.
The pickups in it now are from Throbak, his MXR Limited Edition set that used vintage purple wire.
I also converted the bridge from the Nashville to a Callaham machined steel ABR-1
and got a RS Guitarworks lightweight aluminum tailpiece, in Nickel.

The pots are from George Alessandro, custom made to his specs by PEC, the caps are also from him.
The neck is a handful and took a bit of time to adjust to, but now its extremely comfortable and rock solid no matter the time of year.

The ebony fingerboard is a quality piece of wood. and MOP inlays “POP” and show no visible filler,
First Rate!!! The Stinger is uber cool looking.

I don’t have to tell anyone here that Gibson can catch a lot of heat sometimes, BUT when they get it right, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool guitar.

Did Gibson refuse to put an OEM ABR-1 on or did you not request it? Should have been an easy change being a custom order.

FYI: ZW Bullseye spec is Nashville. Also, from what I've seen, the White came with Grover kidneys, the Camo had tulips, so I suspect he varied the camo to black as the basis for this...

What an awesome LPC. I am generally not a fan of gold hardware either, so that is right up my alley.

How do you like the Throwbaks?

Btw, I totally get ordering a signature model because you want certain specs, and then customizing it to turn it into the guitar you want.

I bought my Gibson Adam Jones LP Standard because I wanted a tear drop Silverburst Les Paul Standard with an Ebony fretboard and knew from the start that the pickups and electronics were getting pulled and replaced, and the knobs were getting switched out to black and silver reflectors.

I did not request it, originally I wanted the hardware that came "stock" if you will, on a Wylde guitar. Only later, did I make the
conversion to the ABR-1 after reading about the Callaham.

i did not reques

Don’t listen to me, I’m a smart-ass. If they got it right, why did you have to change so much of the hardware?
It was all in Gold and when I got the pickups, they came with badass looking Nickel covers and I thought it would look a little
weird to have the hardware one color and the pickups another. I basically just wanted a uniform, coherent aesthetic look fpr the guitar.
I however, decided to keep the Kluson tuners!!!!!!!

Thank You, the pickups are awesome and the guitar is a Rock machine!
The Throbaks have thus far kept the other contenders on the sidelines.
1. Kloppmann hybrid set '58/'59
2. PAT# set, real ones;)
3. EMG 57/66 set in Black chrome
