Dating Fenders precicely after april 1973

Bear with me if this has been addressed before..:

As we know, the neck dating system disappered after april 1973, superseeded in most cases by 2 x 4 digit numbers. These numbers made no sense to ppl, including clever authors of various Fender books. I guess they didn't want to throw in a lot of effort & time into cheap non collectible guitars (that's what they were considered back in the 70's and 80's).

Fast forward to present time, some nerds fortunately have collected info on these mysterious digits, and you can actually in many cases pinpoint your Fender down to both the year & week the neck was made, and even the day of that week.
