• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

FS: 1964 Gibson SG Junior - $2150

I have my hesitations about this one, but I just got a 1960 LP Junior and need to raise some funds, plus this one has the most overlap with the new addition (Cherry finish, single P-90, slab of mahogany, etc.).

It's a 1964 SG Junior and it's a really great playing guitar. It does have unfilled holes from a previous Bigsby B5 installation and lots of honest play wear and finish checking. It's had Grovers on it in the past as the tuner holes are a little bigger than the Kluson ferrules, but the original tuners are back on and work fine. A few of the ferrules are loose as a result, but it doesn't hurt the performance of the tuners. Just don't turn it face down when re-stringing or some might fall out. :)
It's also missing the comb and arm of the vibrola. I didn't miss them as I've always had it setup as a wraptail.

No breaks or repairs to the neck, headstock, or heel, but there are the often-seen cracks near the output jack. My '65 Pelham Blue Junior has the exact same pair on it as well. The pickup cover also has a crack along one of the edges.

The neck is really comfortable, with a very dark and well-seasoned Brazilian rosewood fretboard. Frets show moderate wear.
Here are the neck thickness measurements...
1st fret: 0.783"
7th fret: 0.915"
12th fret: 0.972"

Weight is under 5.8 lbs (5 lbs, 11.8 oz).

Sale includes the brown "alligator" chipboard case, which is in fair condition.

Asking $2150 PP/shipped within the CONUS.
