Per his official Instagram, Gavin Rossdale can be seen playing a white Gibson SG. Now, Gavin is mostly a Fender player (his purple 1967 Fender Jazzmaster, once owned by Joe Walsh, has played on every Bush album), whilst he also has played various Strats. Does anyone have any information about this SG? It looks to me like it could be a reissue SG, but if it is an older SG, I believe it might be manufactured between 1963 and 1971. Like when was it acquired by Gavin, has he used it on any Bush albums? I have written to Gavin Rossdale a few times, but he has not had the decency to write back. But if anyone has got info on the SG, please let me know. I know it is a humbucking SG.

His amps were always Mesa Boogie and Fender amps, which a lot of alternative rock bands used in the Nineties. I actually own a few Bush CDs, and I think they are a certainly good band. They certainly should be more remembered for songs like Everything Zen and Glycerine rather than Gavin's marriage to Gwen Stefani.

Sixteen Stone is a very good debut album, one I certainly hold in the same regard as Jagged Little Pill and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
I really don't understand why Bush was considered a grunge band. I think Bush is more alternative rock with guitar feedback in the same way that Sonic Youth, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Dinosaur Jr. were alternative rock with guitar feedback.

I do want to clarify that that SG looks like one Pete Townshend would have played. The guy was an SG freak.
