I’m thinking of getting a set of Harmonic Design Classic Humbuckers with nickle covers for a very nice Historic 59 Les Pau. I have Antiquity pickups in my other bursts and wanted to try something different. I read the reviews but wanted to hear from guys out there first hand. What type of tone should I expect from these pick ups? Is the neck smooth and fat? How’s the bridge pu. I play Marshall and Fender amps. As far as the tone I’m into:Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Paul Kossoff, Peter Green. Has anyone tried these? Any feedback would be great. I use 4/12 cabs with vintage 30’s and 4/12 cab’s with JBL D120 F speakers.

i have a set...

...on order. I actually received the bridge unit this past Saturday, but sent it back because the cover had a small ding in it. I'll be getting both pickups shipped to me in a short amount of time.

I absolutely love the HD S90 for Telecasters, so I had to give the 'buckers a shot in my Les Paul.

I also have Antiquities. I will end up keeping one set and selling the other. Or I may keep them both...

I really hope they sound okay to me because I just shelled out $280 for the set!!!

I played a 59 Reissue with the Harmonic Designs and it was incredible. I've been waiting to hear some other opinions. Post a review when you get them in.

How did the tone of the pickup differ from all the other PAFs out there? How was the neck pu in particular?
