  • WE HAVE MOVED THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER! Let us know how it is going! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Has anyone had any luck getting a COA replaced?

Sure you can try. But asking here won't help. You need to ask Gibson.

I see the older style on eBay all the time blank. I don’t understand why Gibson can’t somehow authenticate their own guitars easily and issue a replacement COA for a fee however. Surely they would know their work from some fakes out there.
Having said that, I have bought several Historics without COA or any other original hang tags etc and frankly never missed them. They’re no big deal or deal-breaker for me.

Resale is always easier and better with a COA

I wouldn’t walk away from an awesome R9 if it was missing paperwork. I don’t play the certificate.
