• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Heard 2nd hand that one of our members reported passed away - Dan Duntze (bluesforstevie)? Any confirmation of this?

I will always be grateful for Dan's kind encouragement in the heyday of the Jam Zone. RIP Dan, and thank you.

A decade ago, he used to post some really good videos here. I learned a great deal from them. He would take the time to PM as well if you wanted to discuss gear, too - a good ā€œforum friend.ā€
Rest in peace, Dan.

I don't want to believe it.

I conversed with him on the phone a few times.

Even had a very pleasant conversation with his mom Murrieta before she died.

A very sweet woman and raised a very sweet son.

Bought some nos tubes from him and helped him out when things went south for him.

He had been fighting back and health issues for years.

Last I knew he was bouncing back.

A dang shame but I reckon he's in a better place now.

See you on the other side Skydog46.

I watched and enjoyed his YouTube presence for years. his enthusiasm for les paul guitars and bb king was inspiring. he would not have known me from adam...

our impact on each other is profound and we are all receptors eager to absorb the good stuff. and dan was the good stuff.

very sad to learn of his passing.

He was one of those guys I felt like I knew just from his prolific youtube output years ago. I reconnected with him recently, very casually, on social media. RIP.

RIP - I really enjoyed his contributions on this a forum and YouTube from years back. Was a very talented player and from what I have heard from others, he was a super nice guy. Another blues slinger gone home...

I just stumbled upon this old thread and noticed the discussion about our member, Dan Duntze (bluesforstevie). I wanted to clarify that this thread is from two years ago, so the information might not be current. If anyone has any recent updates on Dan or his whereabouts, it would be great to hear.
updates ..really ?
