• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I've noticed that the more recent '58 Historic V's and Explorers have weights listed that are pretty up there...V's around 8lbs and Explorers 9+ lbs. About a pound or so heavier than what the earlier batches were running. In my experience Korina has always tended to be a lighter weight wood, lighter than mahogany. Anyone have experience with this heavier weight Korina? Do they sound different?

The recent stuff is heavier a builder told me. I handled an explorer body and it was heavy.
