Help me identify these pickups!

Hey, I've been playing a Gibson Les Paul Standard for over a year, and I decided to find out more about its components. From the serial # I learned it is from 1976 (#0023xxxx). I knew the pickups were not the originals, but just today I pulled them to check them out.

The neck pickup is a black and has no name on the front, but says "Seymour Duncan", and "59BJ" on the back, with "8.36K" written by hand with a black marker. It looks way old.

The bridge pickup is the cream color, and just says "DIMARZIO PICKUPS" and "MADE IN U.S.A." on the back. Also looks way old.

Can anyone tell me about these pickups? Are they worth keeping. They sound great. The Seymour Duncan has only two leads coming out of it, but the Dimarzio has four leads. I'd been thinking about putting a PRS style coil-cutting switch in the guitar, but with only two leads on the Seymour (if I'm understanding what I'm seeing) I guess I can't do that.

The guitar is natural gloss--no stain or paint. No pickguard anymore. Body is in great shape except for buckle wear on the back.

I think the Seymour Duncan is their '59 model pickup (PAF repro) and the DiMarzio is probably their Super Distortion model (check the DC resistance - if it's around 14k, then you probably have this pickup.

Thanks, Ian, I'll check the resistance like you suggested. I went to the SD website and saw their '59 model.
