Help with pedal board power supply massive hum

I have three pedals, a Boss tuner, TC Electonics Hall of Fame reverb, and a Way Huge Green Rhino overdrive. A few weeks ago I purchased an Ispot 9v adapter that can power multiple pedals. It was $19. When plugged in it causes huge hum through all my amps. Yet when I use a single 9v adapter in any of the pedals there is no hum.

I have tired all combinations of wall outlets, power strips, guitars, amps and cables with the same result, a very unpleasant hum. Vendor says I need shielded soldered cables which all of mine I think are. I use Lava coils. And it's not the order of the pedals, since the adapter makes the hum even with one pedal.

This week I purchased a similar product and that makes the amps hum like crazy too. I'm going crazy now.

Help!

Isolate the pedals and see if it's one pedal.
Some don't play nice with others.
I can chain all my pedals up to a One Spot except for one that I need to keep separate by running it out of the 9v out of my tuner.

I've had hum issues with a One Spot and a T-Rex Fuel Tank. No issues with two different Voodoo Labs Pedal Powers. Probably not the answer a person wants to hear, but those are my experiences.

Thanks Charlie. I just plugged the ispot straight into each pedal individually. They all hum equally loud.

I can go out from my tuner too. What cable do you use that goes out from the tuner to the pedal you keep separate? Is your tuner plugged into the Ispot?

Thanks for the link Marc. I'll check it out.
You can find other cheaper options.. the one I listed was an example.. also using two bricks can act as an isolator too.. and bear in mind that power grids vary from town to town.

I use a regular pigtail coming out of the tuner.
If it makes noise with every pedal, it might be faulty.
I've been gigging mine for years with no problems...old amps and single coil pickups.

The One Spot you have is faulty. I've used them and never had an issue no matter what pedals I used or how many. Sounds like you happened to have the bad luck to get a defective one.

I went through that with several.

Mine are now on VooDoo's and seem to work better.

Maddening, and expensive.

I just purchased a brick and the hum is gone!
Glad you finally got a cleaner sound without the hum..! those bricks can be expensive.. but worth it in the long run.. it’s also worth investing in a multi plug with power conditioning which you plug the brick into.. (and other older pedals without buffers) for further conditioning .. 😉

I use these Sanyo power supplies that are rechargeable. I keep one charged up and use one. The good thing is zero ground loops, zero hum, and zero need for an outlet or power cord.

They're pretty old at this point. I'm surprised more companies don't make these and more people don't want them. Batteries have come a long way and it seems like the best way to go for me.
