• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • Please support our Les Paul Forum Sponsors with your business - Gary's Classic Guitars, Wildwood Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, Throbak.com and True Vintage Guitar. From personal experience doing business with all of them, they are first class organizations. Thank you!

Here's a whole new idea...

A cutting contest with Hendrix...umm thats okay I feel a cold coming on. Thats like the story of The Who at Monterey argueing on which band was gonna play first, so Hendrix gets up on a chair and starts playing his strat in Townsends face and then gets down and says "you can go first". Putting all the pieces together is the part of the fun.

I could never figure out the AVERAGE listeners perception of good tone. Many a time my solo would come around and I'd hit every wrong note imaginable and dying a thousand deaths. Open my eyes to look out and people are applauding and seriously into it. Other times, I just get it right almost on a spiritual leval with sweat bombs landing between both pickups, open my eyes to look out and folks are paying no attention whatsoever. WTF:dead:
