The dimension from the surface of the fretboard to the centre of the back of the neck is less than on a neck that is rounded, as you say.

Almost two millimetres. On this particular guitar it was instantly very noticeable.

The one-piece necks on the Elites I owned were all much more round.

I use UPS in the states and they are very reliable .
UPS isn't great here but I've used it and only once did the item not get through. Thanks for the tip.

I guess I was wondering about an actual retailer. Just one of the biggies? Amazon UK say they have CTS 500k long-shafts. And I see StewMac are willing to use DHL!

Okay, I'm good. I apologise for not doing my own research. Thanks very much for the help.

If you are looking to buy a good wiring harness with 500K pots ,ThroBak is who I swear buy for Pickups (101 Plus with A5 magnets ) They have built me numerous harness and pickups and I love them . www.throbak.com . I have a wiring harness and pickups that just shipped out yesterday .

Hmmm ... I like the shielding on the Heritage 80 controls. And if I install 500k pots, I'll re-install the original Tim Shaws plus the original tailpiece and original bridge. And there's some wear left in the original frets.

So, it'd be a-a-a-almost back to original -- I replaced the original mounting rings from the get-go 'cause they were crappy. As I say, it's never going to be a collector's item.

I think a wiring harness is not the direction I'm going in, though I know ThroBak to be top shelf. Thanks for the tip. By the way, I assume I want audio-taper and long split shaft for twenty-four splines ... just "long", that's all I have to specify?
