• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hey together,

i needed some small things from the music store, so why not just sneek into the CS department and check, if the Kossoff in VOS would sit there and wait. And she was! I just took it off the stand and whoops, lightweighted thing. I sat down there for a while, turning it in my hands and closely regarded it from every possible angle. The flames were narrow and a bit chevron like but not as hard in their contrast as the picture on the web show. Nice. And also nicely support the top carve which seems to be more distinctive than on the regular R9, but this maybe is just the optical effect of the flames. Gibson calles the color green lemon, same as with the Goldie, but the Kos is indeed a little more into the orange department, but only a very little bit. Beautiful in my eyes though. The satinated VOS finish is just right for me.

The back has a medium faded red which i liked much and which matches the top just perfect.

Action was nice and low, neck a little wider than on my R9 but with a medium to low profile which makes it just comfortable for my hands. Acoustically resonant and vibrant, but a look on the price tag kept me from jacking it up though. 6,300 Euros which is something like 8,300 USD is a bit! I ordered an aged one though some month ago and this one should arrive next month, so i will not think about another one. I have to see, if the aged one suits me. In Germany we have very comfortable consumer rights, so deals in the internet may be canceled within 14 days without closer specification of reasons. Music stores widen these rights up to- in some cases- a 60 days right of return with a full money back guarantee, if nothing happened to the instrument.
